As we get ready to host our annual Niagara Falls Extreme GO Teams Mission on Saturday August 9th, I wanted to personally encourage you to enlist in this evangelism event as a missions springboard for you and your entire church!

Niagara Falls is a unique place. It is in the top 10 most visited tourist destinations in the entire world, and second only to Dubai for tourist destinations visited by the largest number of nationalities. The Canadian side receives approximately 13 million visitors per year! Recently I had the privilege of taking a group of young adults from the Slavic Baptist Church to Clifton Hill for conversational evangelism training. In our short time there we spoke with people from several African nations, including:
- Ghana
- Uganda
- Botswana
- Ethiopia
The last conversation we had was with Eleena and Fouzia from Ghana. Eleena seemed to be a nominal Christian, and Fouzia was a Muslim. We shared the gospel with them and gave Fouzia a Bible.

One of the young ladies in our group said it was her first time evangelizing like this and since it wasn’t as scary as she thought, she’s looking forward to doing it again. In fact, because this group is from Niagara Falls, we now even plan to go monthly!

The Niagara Falls Extreme GO Teams Mission is an intense (and well organized) one-day event that makes it an impactful day for those who participate. It has also served as a missions springboard for many amazing gospel outreach church ministries over the years. For example, Drew Beach, who came out for the first time in 2022. He just wanted to observe and had decided that he wasn’t going to talk to anyone. But after experiencing the day, he later went on to forming a Gospel Outreach (GO) Team in his own church in Tillsonburg that reaches out to the Jamaican migrant workers. Drew has also been faithfully walking with us in Niagara Falls ever since!

Another amazing story is from John Walter. John attended the 2013 Niagara Falls event and was equipped for open-air preaching. Since then, he has moved back to the UK and has started a GO Team in his church using the same skills he learned in Niagara Falls. John has been able to regularly preach in the open-air throughout the UK.
