On this Fourth of July, we want to honour God and our American brothers and sisters in Christ by testifying to how and why nothing has the power to unite citizens of our currently divided countries like our shared eternal citizenship in Heaven. Christ has made us all “Heavenians” together! As born again believers here on gospel mission, we simultaneously hold eternal citizenship in Heaven and temporal citizenship on earth. However, our eternal citizenship has been blood-bought by Christ Himself and His gospel spiritually unites us as His ambassadors. Well, on June 18 to 21, a busload of holy Heavenians temporally living in Canada and America united in the gospel at the annual Ambassadors’ Academy where I was blessed to teach and train alongside our dear friends and ministry partners, Living Waters.

About the Academy
The Ambassadors’ Academy equips participants by example to serve as bold ambassadors of Christ and gain a new passion for the lost. Hosted by the Living Waters evangelism team, this intensive evangelism training provides all the tools needed, regardless of each individuals’ level of experience.

Adding Our Voice Throughout the years the Ambassadors’ Academy has trained over fourteen-hundred people for biblical evangelism (including me!), and it was a blessing to be invited to add our ministry’s voice by having me teach a main session at the 2025 event. I was given the freedom to choose any topic that suited my personal and ministry passion, so the title I prayerfully settled on was Multiplying Evangelism through Making Disciples. 
I had the distinct privilege of teaching a discipleship session at the Academy with Living Waters Here was the session synopsis I developed:  Living Waters exists to inspire and equip Christians to fulfill the Great Commission. As this is actually the “co-mission” of every true Christ-follower, this practical session will further inspire and equip our Ambassadors’ Academy graduates to “go” in the authority of King Jesus to multiply everything they’ve learned through continuing to preach the gospel and also make more disciples who do the same.
One of the most common questions asked by graduates of this elite evangelists training is: “How can I use this education and experience to help equip my church for evangelism?” Our answer is through biblical discipleship under the authority of your church leaders!
That’s why God used the extremely positive feedback from participating pastors and evangelists to again confirm the fact that our equipping evangelism ministry has the unique experience and expertise needed to truly help unify and multiply more churches in the gospel. This also makes sense of why so many Academy participants requested our contact information for further follow-up!
From Session Teaching to Street Training
After two full days of onsite session teaching, the speakers then served offsite alongside the GO Teams leaders for hands-on street training in conversational evangelism and open-air preaching. In God’s providence, it was Pride Festival weekend in Southern California!

Though crowds of participants in the Pride Festival very vocally communicated their aversion to the gospel message, evidently God was powerfully at work confirming the preaching of His Word by granting repentance and giving His gift of saving faith.  One very memorable conversation I enjoyed was with Sarah and Tayin, two Pride supporters who both testified to having “church backgrounds”. When they attempted to provoke me into an argument about how Christians apparently hate gay people, I simply said: “Can I share with you how we’re much more alike than you may realize?” Surprised with my question, they both said: “Sure!”
I then proceeded to open Scripture and teach them the truth of how and why we’re all commonly created in God’s image, yet we’re also all born with sinful hearts that can only produce sinful choices. Further, because God is so good and holy, any one single sin we commit is sufficient for God’s full and just condemnation. This is one reason of many why we each need to be saved and given new hearts with new desires! By God’s grace, both sincerely listened to the complete gospel and even thanked me for the conversation.

A Very Personal Testimony
As an equipping evangelist called by Christ to disciple other Christians in gospel witness, I am continually committed to making disciples, starting with my own family! This is why I was overjoyed when my younger son, Caleb, accepted my invitation to walk with me at the Academy! 
Caleb and Ray pose for a picture in Huntington Beach, Ray’s favorite fishing hole! Not only was Caleb able to use his technical skills to capture pictures and video of the entire event, but he was also personally impacted by being equipped by example by some of the most experienced evangelists in the entire world!
Here’s how Caleb testifies to his personal experience as a first-time participant of the Ambassadors’ Academy with Living Waters:

~ Caleb McKenna A Californian Comes to Canada! I’m also excited to report that today Emeal Zwayne is flying from California to Kingston, Ontario where he will speak at a young adults conference where both of my boys are attending. The Lord’s timing is always perfect, and I am deeply thankful that He is bringing to Canada the very first equipping evangelist who trained me way back in 2006! This is why I am also traveling to Kingston to spend the weekend with E.Z. and will even have the privilege of introducing him when the conference opens tonight.
