How can we honour, encourage, and support our faithful pastors—not just in October, but all year long?

OCTOBER IS PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH

Remember, one day the King will be crowned, and His people will be there to see it. You are not just watching it. You are in it. And your pastor will be there too. The man in the pulpit is not a figure you will leave behind when the story gets to the good part. He is a brother who will stand beside you before God.

You are not thanking an employee for a decent year. You are encouraging someone who will stand with you before the throne of God. The note, the prayer, the honor, the encouraging words — these are not October manners. They are how brothers treat each other on the way to the same accounting; the same celebration of the victory of our King.

So, lift your brother up. Let him do his work with joy.  As you both look forward together to the day, when the kingdoms of this world pass away, and we all are made new forever in the eternal kingdom of the Lord and Judge of all.

We thank God for pastors and our partnership in the gospel!

In Christ’s love,

Dan

  • Please pray that He would give wisdom and discernment as we seek to equip His Church, building only what He is building and following His leading.

  • Please pray that the Lord would use The Cross Current to strengthen and encourage His people to faithfully proclaim Christ and make disciples.

  • Please pray that God would use the 2026 Gospel Unity & Partnership Gala to encourage and unite His people around the mission of the gospel. May He raise up faithful disciples who will share Christ, make disciples, and equip others to do the same—multiplying gospel workers and shining the light of Christ brightly across Canada.
