The Equipped Evangelists Training Network (EETN) has officially launched! With 14 founding members in 10 locations across Southern Ontario, it’s high time for every Christian to train and be trained for confident conversational evangelism.

As a gospel partner with our ministry, this equipping email will provide you with a brief update on our 2025 Equipping Evangelists Conference, which brought a multitude of church leaders and evangelists together to learn more about the EETN.
Church Leaders Info Session on the EETN (Friday Morning)
The Cross Current exists to help unify and multiply local churches in gospel witness together and gospel unity starts with leadership.
Further, it’s also vital for equipping evangelists that their core leaders are supportive of their ministry and ours!
That’s why we kicked off our 2025 Equipping Evangelists Conference by hosting a free info session on the EETN for a dozen pastors/church leaders.
Here’s what one church leader had to say about this year’s conference:
“I attended the recent church leaders info session with The Cross Current because if we are to reach our country for Christ, we must work together in gospel partnership. The Cross Current’s ministry is excellent in equipping Christians to share the gospel and help others to do the same. Being with so many other like-minded believers encourages and motivates you to share the gospel more. I highly recommend!”

Open Air and Conversational Evangelism Training (Friday Evening)

Conference participants were also invited to come early to get equipped by example in open air and conversational evangelism by walking, talking, and preaching alongside some of the most experienced equipping evangelists in Canada.
Though this was an optional conference component, God graciously answered our prayers for more laborers when more than 30 gospel seed sowers showed up to share Christ with the community of Burlington!

Here’s what one evangelist had to say about this year’s conference:
“I’ve learned that evangelism can be lonely and spiritually draining without others to walk alongside. Fellowship with like-minded believers keeps me encouraged, accountable, and grounded in the gospel. I need people who pray with me, challenge me, and remind me why we do this—because Jesus is King, and this work is His command. Joining the EETN gives me and my church a real chance to grow in mission with others. It’s not just about resources—it’s about relationships that help us stay faithful, learn from others, and work together to reach more people with the gospel. We can’t do this well on our own. A mobilized Church changes the world.”

2025 Equipping Evangelists Conference and official launch of the EETN (Saturday)
This annual evangelists event was hosted to help all those desiring to do work of the evangelist in their local churches hear how partnership with the EETN can help, and to also introduce the regional Founding Members of this new evangelists training network.
Not only did we unveil the vision, direction, and reach of the EETN to our 30+ conference participants, but we also privately announced the winning Trainer/Trainee GO Team of our EETN Test Drivers Competition docuseries as currently playing on The Cross Current TV, Living Waters TV, and the Answers in Genesis TV platforms!

The EETN Test Drivers Competition series continues on TCC TV! WATCH HERE.

Here’s what another evangelist had to say about this year’s conference:
“My experience is that fellowship with a community of evangelists is practically motivating and mutually encouraging. When I walk with fellow evangelists I am reminded of the great blessing I share in and it sparks gratitude. Membership with the EETN promotes uniform partnership and equips evangelists to confidently proclaim Christ.”
Benjamin Sheffer | Equipping Evangelist, Christ the King Church
In closing, we deeply appreciate your ongoing prayer for all the trainers and trainees associated with this new evangelists training network.
We also trust that the Lord will use our partnership powerfully for equipping more Christians and churches for gospel witness together!
Because Canada needs Christ,
