Coincidence? We Think Not!

For the month of January, our Gospel Outreach (GO) Team decided to take shelter from the bitter cold weather and continue our weekly outreach indoors.

We’ve been sharing the gospel at Maple View Mall, Burlington Center, and CF Lime Ridge Mall. Not only has this provided a more comfortable environment for conversations, but it’s also challenged us to develop new skills in evangelism. You could call it “muscle confusion” for our outreach efforts! The team has enjoyed it, and God has worked in amazing ways.

One of those moments happened during our first outing. We met a young man named Troy, who told us that he often thinks about spiritual things. What really caught our attention was when he mentioned that he had recently engaged another evangelism team in downtown London, Ontario. As we showed him our 3 Big Questions gospel tract, he immediately recognized it. It was the same one he had received in London!

At that moment, I had a strong suspicion that the team he met in London was the GO Team led by Cory and his church at Crossroads Bible Church. What are the chances that he would be approached in two different cities, by two different GO Teams, on completely different days—receiving the exact same message? Clearly, this was not a coincidence and God was getting Troy’s attention!

This encounter was a powerful reminder that God is always at work. He is orchestrating divine appointments, and our role is simply to be faithful. Here are three encouragements for us all to take to heart as His seed sowers:

  1. God is in control of evangelism. We don’t see the full picture, but He is working behind the scenes to reach people in ways we could never imagine.
  2. Our labor is never in vain. Sometimes we plant seeds, sometimes we water, and sometimes we see a harvest—but God is the One who gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
  3. Keep going! Whether it’s a busy mall or a quiet street, God uses every outreach effort to bring people to Himself. Moments like this remind us that no gospel conversation is wasted!
So, be encouraged! When you step out in faith, God will use your obedience in ways beyond what you can see. Let’s continue to trust Him and boldly share the Good News of Jesus Christ!

For His Glory,

Daniel

  • Please pray for Troy’s salvation and that he would find a faithful local church to worship with near his home in Brampton.
  • Please pray for our GO Team to have the full armor of God protecting us from the spiritual forces of darkness.
  • Please pray for favor in CF Lime Ridge Mall on February 11th, as it will likely be our last mall outreach this season.
  • Please pray for the Lord to send more labourers to join our GO Team.
GIVE for us to GO!
