MENTOR CONFERENCE ESSENTIAL DOCTRINES

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and all-sufficient Word of God.

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His vicarious and propitiating death offering atonement to any and all who will believe; His resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His personal return to earth in power and glory.

We believe that all are justified solely on the ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace through faith alone are we saved.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and that this love is a display of Christ in us thereby marking us as His own.

We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature and to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

MENTOR CONFERENCE COVENANT

The MENTOR Conference (MC) leadership team are committed to creating the most fruitful mentoring experience possible for all participants. As an interactive discipleship conference, we want to facilitate an environment where we can humbly dialogue and openly learn from each other. We can’t do this without your cooperation. Please read the following carefully and confirm your agreement with your completed application.

Setting an Example

As our objective for MC is to open ourselves and Scripture to lay a foundation for faithfully following Christ and leading others in lives to do the same, let’s covenant together to hold each other accountable to set an example worth following.

Loving and Respecting Each Other

Since all of us are coming together for a common purpose, it’s appropriate that we consider setting a tone of cooperation and good will. The best place for us to start is Christ’s second commandment – love your neighbor as yourself. This means we will love and respect each other by being responsible for our conduct, our attitude, our communication, and our actions.

Doctrinal Discussion

It was German theologian Meldenius who said: “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity.” Do you know that practicing sound Christian doctrine should actually cause us to love Christians more – even those with whom we disagree? That’s why doctrinal divisiveness over non-essentials will not be tolerated at this conference.

Dealing with Distractions

We trust that this time we have set aside will be as positive and productive as possible. In dealing with distractions, we ask you to not bring any electronic devices (other than a cell phone) to keep focused for the short time we’re together. Please also pledge to be on time for each element scheduled.

Prayer and Personal Reflection

It is our prayer that this ground-breaking Gospel conference would be eternal life-changing, and we trust that is your prayer as well! From now until then, please continue praying and personally reflecting on how you hope the Lord changes your heart to more faithfully follow Him.

Multiplied Ministry

It is our hope that the MENTOR Conference both adds fuel to your fire for Christ and multiplies greater Gospel ministry in your local church. As such, let’s covenant together to make MENTOR Conference a great experience for all those involved and thanks in advance for also granting us permission for reasonable use of photos or video taken of you for encouraging and equipping other Christ-followers to more faithfully follow Him!
