The Cross Current (TCC) training seminars will equip everyone in your church to be Christ’s witnesses together based on how each believer has been uniquely gifted and burdened by God.
It has been our experience that evangelistically healthy churches have all three forms of witnessing in operation.
1. Personal Witnessing
First, we can help you equip your entire church to be more faithful and fruitful personal witnesses with all the lost loved ones God has placed in your lives.
Not only will this basic training equip everyone in your church to “normalize” sharing your faith with family and friends, but we will also help identify those in your church who may be “burdened beyond” to reach out to strangers too.
The Witnessing Workshop, our flagship personal witnessing training program, can be offered at your church either in person or using our DVD-based Local Church Training System for small or large groups.
(Pastoral Point: It has been our experience that approximately 80% of your church will stay with personal witnessing only)
2. Gospel Outreach “GO” Team Witnessing
A Gospel Outreach “GO” Team is a group of Christ-followers commissioned and supported by your local church to preach the Gospel while working together to meet the needs of those in your community based on how you are each uniquely gifted by God.
Getting equipped involves TCC working with your church leaders to help your GO Team know the Gospel, know their God-given gifts, and know the needs of your community. TCC will then lead your GO Team to step out into your community together for a half-day of Gospel-sharing and good works.
These seminars also purpose to identify a potential equipping evangelist from within your church who we can help you equip to champion the cause of the Gospel and continue fanning the flames of outreach among your people through our special Church Champions Training.
Having previously graduated from our Witnessing Workshop is a prerequisite for this level of training.
(Pastoral Point: It has been our experience that approximately 10-15% of your church will serve on a Gospel Outreach “GO” Team)
3. Extreme Team Witnessing
An Extreme Team is a weekly group of well-connected evangelists in your church who are lead by your Church Champion to take evangelism to the extreme. They also recruit others and regularly report back from the field to your church all that God is doing for the glory of His Name.
TCC Extreme Team Missions (XTM’s) provide the training ground for this level of evangelism. XTM’s are local missions day trips into major urban centres for the specific purpose of preaching the Gospel through high volume tracting, one-to-one street witnessing, and open air preaching.
Having previously graduated from our Witnessing Workshop is a prerequisite for this level of training.
