“All you need is love, love, love is all you need.” So John Lennon says, but is that really true? Well, what better time to find out than during the month of love – February? And that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
Hi, this is Cory and here are your audio helpful hints for making the most of Part 1 of our new series of TCC Radio called “Love Endures”.
The Bible says that “God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” and that He “shows us love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Clearly God so loved us and shows His love, yet He is also holy, righteous, and just. How does that all work?
Well, in effort to intentionally invite your loved ones to listen to the show this week so you can talk about it with them afterwards, feel free to invite them to invite them to participate in a short “spiritual survey” for a reality radio show that you are affiliated with! Here are the inquisitive ice-breakers we used on the streets that we trust will be as effective for you as they were for us:
1. How would you define love? In your opinion, what makes a person “lovable”?
2. I’m sure you love someone, don’t you? In your thinking, what exactly makes you love that person?
3. If you don’t mind me asking, what’s something really big that you would do for that person with no questions asked?
4. Would you consider yourself “lovable”? Why or why not?
5. A recent magazine add cited the Taj Mahal in India as the “ultimate symbol of love”. What do you think the ultimate symbol of love is?
From there you can either share with them why the Cross is the ultimate symbol of love or simply invite them to tune in to TCC Radio with you – broadcasted this Friday at 7pm on Grace 105.9 FM in London and on www.thestreamtv.com in Orangeville and also podcasted on www.tccradio.com.
Again, we sincerely invite you to send us your Gospel glory stories to radio@thecrosscurrent.com. You never know, we may even publish them here on our blog – with your consent, of course!
We thank God for you always in our prayers and let’s pray for His grace, favour, and truth to rest on our collective labour for Him again this week!
